Lincoln interpreter Jim Getty has been channeling Lincoln for several decades. Channeling is the word that will come to mind when you see this brilliant performer answer spontaneous historical questions in first person. The extraordinarily talented Jim Getty only performs a few times a year for special events. The Inns of the Gettysburg Area is very fortunate to be able to give our guests the opportunity to see Jim Getty interpret President Lincoln. You will feel like you have actually met Abraham Lincoln.
Your Lincoln Weekend includes a morning guided tour of Lincoln in Gettysburg. You will walk the Soldiers National Cemetery and learn about the fascinating events that surrounded the delivery of The Gettysburg Address. Then, in the evening, guests gather for dinner at the historic Dobbin House Tavern. Join the receiving line and be introduced personally to President Abraham Lincoln. Each table is set with an empty seat forThe President. Abraham Lincoln who circulates during dinner, will engage each table of guests in conversation – all in first person, of course! After dinner, Lincoln addresses the crowd with stories of his time, ending with a delivery of the Gettysburg Address.
Tickets are $55 per guest for inn guests. Contact your favorite Inn from www.gettysburgbedandbreakfast.com for more information.
